12 team from all over the world will participate in the Gelato World Cup

Outright protagonists every year at SIGEP are: traditional Italian artisan gelato, the professionals of this sweet artisan art and the entire prestigious supply chain.
The Gelato World Cup is organized every two years, and has now reached its 8th edition. It is dedicated to professionals in the gelato, confectionery, chocolate-making and high-class gastronomy industries of the 5 continents and represents a unique chance for individual professionals to get together and discuss their trades.

Historical venue for the Gelato World Cup is Sigep, the largest and most comprehensive B2B trade fair in the world dedicated to artisan gelato and confectionery which, since 1979, has maintained and strengthened its undisputed leadership. Sigep, the 39th edition of which will be staged in January 2018, is in fact dedicated to the professional operators of five continents and has always spearheaded new market trends and promoted the excellence of made-in-Italy products.

During this year, the 12 teams were selected to participate in the eighth edition. Subscribers teams are: Argentina, Australia, Brasil, France, Japan, Korea, Morocco, Poland, Spain, Switzerland, Ukraine, USA.
For the first time ever, Italy, undisputed protagonist of the competition, will not take part as required by the competition regulations.
