JUNIORES WORLD PASTRY CUP

SIGEP 2011 host the new International Team Championship, reserved for young confectioners under the age of 23, and therefore one of its kind.
The event springs from an idea of Roberto Rinaldini in collaboration with Rimini Fiera and is promoted by SIGEP together with three icons of Italian confectionery, namely Livia Chiriotti, Iginio Massari and Roberto Rinaldini, President of the Championship.
The competition features the participation of young confectioners from ten countries with teams made up of two confectioners, a captain and a team manager.
The jury be presided by Giovanni Pina, President of the Academy of Italian Master Confectioners and will be completed by the team managers and captains of each competing team, in addition to four internationally acclaimed master confectioners. A total of 26 judges, with Honorary President, Iginio Massari.

The Junior World Confectionery Championship, held biennially, is for the young generation of confectioners coming from the 5 continents and offers them a highly formative opportunity to put their skills to the test and begin a gratifying and successful career.
It is a media event of enormous visibility, aimed at placing in the international spotlight new trends in the confectionery sector, starring these young protagonists alongside highly representative personalities, Masters, industry professionals and businesses in the sector of artisan confectionery.
The contest has been designed and organized according to principles of competence, professionalism and impartiality, with strong ideas toward future generations.
The Junior World Confectionery Championship is a unique chance for comparison and an experience of growth for all those who, in the future, will contribute to making world confectionery great. It is the first necessary and essential competition for a professional life at the highest technical levels.
