.Rimini, 22nd December 2017 . Training and competitions for young master bakers. The ´Young Ideas´ contest, organized by SIGEP and Richemont Club Italia in the context of the Bakery Events, is reserved for training college students. Eight teams of promising youngsters will compete in the four tests involved: bread, which must be made following the recipe provided by the jury to the letter; small loaves; Viennoiserie, where the contestants will have the possibility of unleashing their creativity, and, lastly, an artistic item, which must be prepared in advance, but finished and assembled on-site, with the theme ´An identity of your Region´.
Everything will have to be judged and tasted by the jury, made up of four members and the jury President.
For the winning team, the prize is a course at CAST Alimenti, as well as books and the choice between a visit to a company in the bakery sector and a Richemont training course for the entire class.

´Focussing on schools is a fundamental aspect for us´, comments Roberto Perotti (president, Richemont Club Italia. ´One of the aims is attracting students to our work, which is fascinating and can give great satisfaction. Bakers have the privilege of working with a tradition that is over a thousand years old, in which there are constantly emerging new energies, new life styles and new technological solutions. We take part in a sort of Ôpassing of the baton´, where the bread baking tradition is left as an inheritance to the new generations, who will be able to interpret it in an increasingly new way. Last year´s edition managed to arouse great enthusiasm among the youngsters taking part. This year the competition will feature important elements, to further raise the standard of preparation. So for the youngsters it will be an opportunity to put themselves to the test, and for the bakery sector the chance to learn a new fresh outlook from the young talents.´

´Chi ha incastrato Peter Pane´ will be an open space for debate, full of contents, set up in a special area at the centre of the Bakery Events (Hall B7). Education and highlighting the baker´s art will be at the core of this new feature, with in-depth events on bread, the world´s oldest most widespread food. In the morning, there will be talk shows with experts from the sector, nutritionists, professionals and food bloggers. In particular, on the morning of Tuesday 23rd January, the event ´Bread yes, bread no´ organized by Richemont Club along with Il panificatore italiano, whereas, in the afternoon, demos and games will provide other suggestive moments. Every day, tasting sessions will be held in the special lab area.
