Summer Fancy Food
Sigep's "debut" at New York's recent Fancy Food Show was a great success.
Artisan gelato and coffee played star roles at an experiential stand that intercepted American buyers, distributors and importers.
These gelato flavours were presented by SIGEP’s partner companies:
Mec3: Vegan Vanilla, Extra Dark, Cookies Lemon Meringue, Honey Comb, Carrot Cake, Fudge Pistachio, Sorbet Mango, Lampone, Salted Butter Caramel.
Babbi: Amarena and Nuts, Vanilla and Pistacchiokrok, Scorzette and Chocolat, Nocciola IGP, Natural Pure Pistacchio, Mascarpone Cheesecake and Wild Straberries, Mint Chocolat and Macadamia, Passion Fruit on the Yogurt, Salted Caramel and Toffee Golosa, Caffekrok, Golosa and Mango, Cookies Speculoos.
PreGel: Lemon - Basil, Mango Sorbet, Strawberry Sorbet, Chocolate - Orange, Cannolo, Pistachio, Vanilla - Bilberry, Hazelnut – chocolate crunch (like Rocher).
SIGEP presented the authentic espresso coffee of the renowned Italian tradition accompanied by fragrant croissants and sublime cakes.
The seminar entitled "Market Trends for Artisan Gelato in the United States", opened by Phil Kafarakis, President of the Specialty Food Association, also aroused great interest with interventions from Flavia Morelli, Group Brand Manager of Italian Exhibition Group, and representatives from some of the sector´s leading companies: from John McCabe, Eastern Regional Director for Carpigiani USA to Pierpaolo Colombo, General Manager of Babbi, Rodrigo Florim, Vp Sales at MEC3 USA, Anna Pata, Director of Sales & Marketing for Pregel America and Domenico Piscioneri, Area Manager at IFI USA.
