Rimini, 22 December 2023 . The Sigep layout (Rimini Expo Centre, 20th . 24th January 2024) reflects the five souls of the show: gelato, pastry, chocolate, bakery and coffee.


In the South Hall in the middle of Italian Exhibition Group´s Expo Centre is the Innovation District, the beating heart of innovation and the starting point for professional debates and revolutionary projects.
Vision Plaza is its nucleus, a top venue for supply chain training, where talks and conferences of international standing, led by experts from the Foodservice world, will take place. Vision Plaza is surrounded by the Start-Up area in collaboration with ANGI - National Association of Young Innovators and the Innovation Award, the prize dedicated to the most innovative and sustainable products and technologies presented at the exhibition.

The halls will host leading companies operating in the ingredients, technologies, furnishings, packaging, decorations and services sectors of the five supply chains distributed throughout the Rimini Expo Centre halls: 12 will be dedicated to the gelato supply chain (from A3 to A7 and from C1 to C7); 4 halls will host the coffee sector (A1, A2, B1, D1); 10 halls will group together the pastry and bakery supply chain (from B4 to B7 and from D2 to D7), while halls B2 and B3 will house companies from the chocolate supply chain.

The Gelato Arena, hall A5, will host the sector´s most important international competitions, the Gelato World Cup, and Sigep Gelato d´Oro, the selection for Team Italy that will take part in the Sigep Europe Cup in 2025

The Gelato Lab, hall A7, a new entry at Sigep 2024, will act as the beating heart of professional training in the gelato industry, offering courses, show cooking, presentations and high-level product demonstrations to stimulate and enable gelato professionals to enhance their skills.

The Pastry Arena, hall B5, will stage a programme of events dedicated to high-level pastry-making starting from the Juniores Pastry World Cup with teams from all over the world, and going on to national competitions such as the Italian Senior and Italian Junior Championships and SIGEP Giovani, a competition for professional and hotel and catering schools.

The Coffee Arena, hall D1, will see baristas and coffee professionals compete in the Italian Barista Championships for the Barista, Brewers Cup and Cup Tasters categories. These will be joined by the Italian Latte Art Championship, the Italian Coffee in Good Spirits Championship, the Italian Coffee Roasting Championship and the Cezve/Ibrik Championship.

The Bakery Arena, hall D7, will feature demos and talks with international guests from the bakery world in collaboration with Richemont Club. Bread in the City, an international bakery competition, will also be back. Special informative sessions for the thirtieth edition of Sigep for the Young are also planned.

The Choco Arena, hall B1, is a space where talks, demonstrations, competitions and educational meetings will take place to present the current and future scenarios of the chocolate industry. A place where companies and operators will be able to delve into exclusive contents and obtain a preview of the trends and secrets of the ´food of the gods´. Three competitions will be staged here: ChocoLOVE, the Italian Finals for the Panettone World Cup and the Young Bakers Competition.
