Award ceremony for the SIGEP Giovani Contest. The talent of the future takes center stage
A SIGEP Academy project dedicated to professional pastry institutes. Creativity, technique, teamwork: SIGEP Giovani is the competition that rewards students' passion and shines a spotlight on the best emerging talents in Italian artisanal confectionery. For 35 years, SIGEP has been supporting youth education, promoting school education projects at the fair, with training initiatives, internships, and competitions.

SIGEP Giovani is an initiative carried out in collaboration with "Pasticceria Internazionale", SIGEP exhibiting companies, hotel schools, and professional institutes from all over Italy, to promote training and offer students the opportunity to put into practice the knowledge and skills learned at school.

What is SIGEP Giovani
Created to enhance the new generations of confectionery professionals, SIGEP Giovani is the educational-competitive project of SIGEP Academy, designed to involve schools and stimulate excellence even in the classroom. Every year, hotel and pastry professional institutes from all over Italy are invited to challenge themselves with original ideas, technical skills, and team spirit, measuring themselves in a multi-stage journey that culminates in the prestigious showcase of SIGEP.

The 2026 edition
The competition is divided into three main phases. Each institute can participate with 1 team, composed of 4 students and 1 teacher tutor, who will present their creative project and related technical sheet. All applications will be evaluated by a jury of industry experts. The 13 selected schools will advance to the next phase and will have the opportunity to participate in the 5 days of the fair. The selected institutes will then be evaluated on a video montage of the moments of creation and realization of the product. The 4 selected teams will finally be able to access the live phase of the competition that will take place on the stage of the Gelato&Pastry Lab during the five days of the event.
