Located in Hall B1, the Sustainability District is the SIGEP WORLD space dedicated to the themes that are transforming the sector: research, innovation, and sustainability across all five supply chains represented at the show.
A dynamic ecosystem where companies, institutions, and international operators come together to explore new solutions — from energy efficiency to technologies that reduce environmental impact, from process innovations to the enhancement of origin as a driver of quality and sustainable development.
The Sustainability District is also a place to discover projects, products, and ideas designed to improve the efficiency and responsibility of the supply chains, creating a cultural and economic bridge between territories, expertise, and emerging markets.
At the heart of the area, a dedicated stage will host a program of talks and panels featuring experts, researchers, and changemakers who will share insights, best practices, and strategic visions — an opportunity to understand ongoing transformations and imagine together the future of foodservice.
The on-site projects
Bean to Bar
Bean to Bar is a dedicated space designed to showcase the entire chocolate-making process, from the cocoa bean to the finished product. A place where artisanal mastery turns chocolate into pure excellence.
The area is created in collaboration with Guido Castagna, a renowned Master chocolatier and roaster.
Within this space, visitors have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the world of artisan chocolate technologies, discovering the innovations and techniques that make Bean to Bar production truly unique.
Origin Countries Area
Within the district, there will be two areas dedicated to the countries of origin, offering a unique opportunity to promote sustainable agriculture, encourage ethical practices along the supply chain, and engage industry professionals.
ICE Area – Italian Trade Agency
With the support of ICE, six African countries (Kenya, Ivory Coast, Tanzania, Uganda, Ethiopia, and Rwanda) producers of raw materials and cooperatives, will be present with the goal of building a cooperation model that enhances the quality of production and ensures fair economic recognition for the countries of origin.
IILA Area – Italian-Latin American International Organization
IILA brings to SIGEP World the voice of Latin American producing countries (Costa Rica, Guatemala, and the Dominican Republic). A cultural and economic bridge that fosters bilateral relations and opens new business opportunities.

Chocolate Origins Area
The IICCT area, curated by Monica Meschini, certified Chocolate Master and Taster, will offer a sensory and educational journey into the world of cocoa, exploring its origins, varieties and aromas.
Through tastings and educational meetings, operators will be able to get to know cocoa producers from different regions of the world, who will share their experiences and challenges related to sustainability and climate change, promoting a more ethical and conscious supply chain.
This space celebrates the mastery of artisan chocolate makers, guardians of the entire process “from bean to bar”. Here, craftsmanship, transparency and origin come together, with the opportunity to present products of excellence and tell stories about the supply chain.
