From Spain to India and Morocco for the 10th Week of Italian Cuisine in the World
On November 6, at the Embassy of Italy in Madrid, Italian Exhibition Group – in collaboration with ICE Agency – will launch an international roadshow dedicated to promoting the 2026 edition of SIGEP WORLD.
The event in Spain will engage professionals and stakeholders from the foodservice industry, with the goal of showcasing Italian excellence and highlighting the trends that will shape the next edition of the show.
Meanwhile, the initiatives taking place in India officially open the international calendar of SIGEP WORLD, as part of the 10th Week of Italian Cuisine in the World (SCIM) — a program promoted by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation to celebrate and promote Italian culinary culture worldwide.
The India Project: training, culture, and promotion
From November 3 to 7, in collaboration with UNIONE ITALIANA FOOD – Gelato Products Group, ACOMAG – Association of Manufacturers of Equipment and Showcases for Gelato Shops, and the ICE Office in New Delhi, an extensive program of initiatives dedicated to Italian artisanal gelato will take place.
Two main stages are planned:
-
New Delhi, at APCA – School of Pastry & Culinary Arts (Gurgaon)
-
Mumbai, at SEP – School for European Pastry & Culinary Arts
The program includes masterclasses for students, presentations for foodservice operators, an institutional event at the Italian Cultural Institute in New Delhi, and communication activities involving local media and food bloggers.
Leading the initiative will be Carlotta Fabbri, President of UIF – Gelato Ingredients, together with Gelato Ambassadors:
-
Fanny Lopez Ruano, Gelato & Research Chef at Frozen Fun
-
Shivanie Mirchandani, founder of Minus Thirty
The project will also feature an Italian gelato shop based in India, as a direct witness to the growing presence of authentic Italian artisanal gelato in the local market.
From India to Morocco: continuing promotion
Throughout November, in collaboration with local ICE offices, SIGEP WORLD will also be present in Morocco with further initiatives aimed at promoting Italian artisanal gelato and its production supply chains.
Towards SIGEP WORLD 2026 – Guest Country: India
The activities in India serve as a preview of the “Guest Country: India” project, which will be one of the highlights of SIGEP WORLD 2026, featuring a delegation of around 40 buyers and the participation of institutional representatives from the country.
This initiative combines international outreach, training, and the promotion of Made in Italy culture, further strengthening SIGEP WORLD’s role as a global platform for dialogue, business, and the celebration of Italian excellence in the world of dessert and foodservice.
