Growing for the Change: Results and Lessons Learned from the Coffee Supply Chain in Africa

Italy cooperates with partner countries in the development of multiple agri-food value chains, by bringing Italian expertise and skills. This is pushing Development Cooperation towards a more systemic approach aiming at closer partnerships with countries in Africa. This to enhance their comparative advantage and to ensure a more equitable and sustainable development. Such strategy and approach are at the core of the “Mattei Plan for Africa”. The Director of the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation (AICS), the Director of Italian Trade Agency (ITA), and the Agriculture Attaché of the Embassy of the Republic of Kenya to Italy will give their perspectives.
