Bread in the City - Bakery World Cup

Bread in The City, the international baking championship, returns to SIGEP 2025 and will see teams from all over the world compete for the title of champion.

Now in its 6th edition, the competition, organized in partnership with Richemont Club Italy, will see 8 teams from all over the world, consisting of two candidates and one coach, compete in different tests:

  • Ciabatta and speciality breads
  • Freestyle breads
  • Viennoiseries
  • Oven-baked pies
  • Savoury presentation


The countries competing: China, Japan, Greece, Italy, Mexico, the Netherlands, Peru and Spain.

JURY 2025

Chairman of the competition jury is Roberto Perotti, president of Richemont Club International. 

 

The jury is also composed of:

  • Benny Swinnen, Richemont Club Belgium
  • Carlo Bock, president of the Richemont Club Luxembourg
  • Juan Manuel Martinez, from Colombia
  • Craig Ponsford, from the U.S.
  • Paa Marcel, vice president of Richemont Club International from Switzerland.
