Gelato Europe Cup: first day concluded

The first intense day of the Gelato Europe Cup competitions has come to a close at SIGEP WORLD, the international event dedicated to foodservice excellence currently taking place at the Rimini Exhibition Center. Tomorrow, Sunday, January 19, the four teams that will advance to the 2026 Gelato World Cup finals will be decided.

 

 

The competition features 8 European teams, representing as many countries, composed of 16 of the best gelato and pastry artisans and led by experienced team managers. The roster reflects the diversity and quality of European gelato traditions:

  • Italy: Alessandro Racca, Gabriele Fiumara, and Angelo Cardella.
  • Germany: Stefano Lucchini, Federico Sacchet, and Tiziano Santin.
  • Albania: Rosilda Collaku, Dejvi Hajderaj, and Kevin Boseta.
  • Poland: Irdi Cuka, Michal Molenda, and Anna Siwiec Kaczmarczyk.
  • United Kingdom: Taseer Ahmad, Massimiliano Porta, and Daniel Schevenels.
  • France: Dartois Herve, Allan Cartignies, and Enzo Babtista.
  • Romania: Oana Gabriela Nita, Vladimir Andrei Dascalu, and Morar Cornel Constantin.
  • Belgium: Fabio Marasti, Maryne Poppe, and Jose Romero.

 

The competition, a highly anticipated highlight of SIGEP World, serves as a springboard for industry talent, drawing enthusiasts, professionals, and curious visitors from around the globe. Through technical and creative challenges, the teams showcase their unique skills, aiming for a coveted spot among the world’s gelato elite.

 

The decisive moment is set for tomorrow, when the jury will announce the four nations advancing to the 2026 Gelato World Cup finals. The challenge has just begun, and excitement builds with every step toward the world championship.
