The Socio-Economic Observatory of Neapolitan Pizza is born

There are over 40,000 pizzerias in Italy (10% of which are in Naples), with a turnover of 4 billion euro and over 300,000 people employed. These numbers highlight the importance of the sector, which is why the Socio-Economic Observatory of Neapolitan Pizza was set up, which aims to provide a complete overview of the pizza world. The innovation was presented at SIGEP WORLD during a talk entitled ‘Economic Observatory of Neapolitan Pizza’, attended by Sergio Auricchio (General Manager of the Verace Pizza Napoletana Association), Rocco Agrifoglio (University of Naples) and Massimo Di Porzio (President of Confcommercio Campania), with the support of Fipe.

 

 

During the meeting, the guidelines for the Observatory were outlined, focusing on economic, business, social/cultural and technological aspects. The Observatory aims to be an up-to-date reference point for data and analysis on the sector, thanks to the contribution of the partners involved.
